Our Team

Shaheen Ali-Chohan

My name is Shaheen, I have over 25 years experience teaching and supporting in the local community with a wide range of people from different backgrounds, including people that have mental health issues, learning difficulties and disabilities.

I have worked with adults, young people and families in the community in Kingston upon Thames. I have also worked with organisations such as Welcare, Staywell, Fircroft and Kingston adult education. I am qualified with PGCE in teaching adults.

In 2002 I became family learning/community learning manager for Kingston. This involved planning and training to   provide courses for family and community learning.I  then went to work for Richmond doing the same.

I  am now a freelance photographer as well as support teaching for Kingston adult education and still involved in charity work as well as volunteer work.

Though my experiences both work and personal I want to support our local community with their mental health and well being by founding/setting up this charity and  especially with the impact of covid-19.

My name is Maria, I have over 30 years HR experience including designing and running well-being programmes, training, coaching and monitoring and self-insight workshops. I focused on mental health support for employees at work on return to work and during periods of absence. I have experience of supporting family members with issues such as anxiety, depression etc

My name is Rachael, and at 44 years old with a wealth of personal experience of dealing with various mental health struggles of family, friends and my own trials, I have always had a strong interest in psychological wellbeing. I volunteered for the Samaritans charity as a lister for over 3 years. I am a qualified mental health first aider, a mental health board member at Global and now an instructor in my school of guided meditation. I deliver gentle yet effective deep relaxation sessions from the Yoga Nidra school, with positive visualisations to increase a sense of grounding, purpose and creativity.
